Royal Bicycles is the brainchild of two passionate cyclists, Jose Valiente and Jose Martinez, and has been in the making for more than 15 years More than a line of business or a job, Royal Bicycle founder’s core belief is centered in the “love for the bicycle and the sport”.
From its humble beginnings as a retail outlet, this passion has driven Royal Bicycles to push the boundaries of the common bike or component, always looking for new trends and products to give the ever growing cycling community the extra edge or look they want for their equipment.
Headquarter in Puerto Rico, right in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, Royal Bicycles decided that its future was in the distribution of brands that provided excellent value and high-technology/design. With this new goal it was decided to convert our line of business to pure wholesale at a regional level. So with a modest budget and lots of drive we started to indentify those brands that were in tune with our vision.
But our way on thinking on products and how to position them on the market is what sets Royal Bicycles apart from the competition. Contrary to being a bicycle dealer/store that “distributes” some brands with loyalty to only those they sell with a small scope on wholesale service, parts and accessories, Royal Bicycles is the complete opposite. We are 100% committed to a distribution model and only bring brands that we know are of excellent quality and offer good value independent of name and/or branding, providing these products through authorized dealers that we know will backup and service the products. Further product knowledge is also provided to dealers so they can help clients make the right choice thus closing more sales.
So far the acceptance of our products has been overwhelming and we continue to add more and more brands to our wide array of products as we continue to grow. Today, Royal Bicycles Unlimited Corp. handles distribution of more than 30 brands in an area than spans all of the Caribbean, Central America and most of South America. We also aim in providing our clients the best service available and constant feedback/information of current and future products.
Cycling is gaining momentum in Latin America and our future plans call for the further expansion of brands into niche sectors that currently don’t have presence and the market demands. As long as new and innovative products are available we will continue to bring those to our markets.
